The desire to own a boat has never been more strong for me than now. Ok, check it. I’m 33 years old. I grew up in the south, a small town outside of Charlotte, NC. I grew up about 15mins from Lake Tillery, 40mins from Lake Norman, 45mins from Lake Wylie (where the new home possibly will be). I grew up hanging out on friends’ boats thru high school, after college, etc. But it took me 33 years to actually drive a boat for the first time in Bath, NC.
It.Was.Awesome. The waters were a little rough and I was white-knuckling it the entire time, drove it for about 20mins solid. It was my girlfriend’s sisters boat, a Sea Ray, about a 20footer…I would say. Absolutely Awesome.
Because of the upcoming lakehouse, a boat is for sure in the cards. I’m going to wait til i close on the home first and foremost, then buy a boat in the winter time, by February.
My iphone is attached to my hip, literally. I use it for so much now, it’s insane!
This is how I feel with my boo when we hit the city. BackBack.
Major Major Changes on the Homefront:
It all started damn near two years back, started looking for a home, all types…foreclosures, pre-existing, new construction, short sales. Finally signed a contract to build a new home in January of this year. One issue after another from day one, delays, smaller backlawn than we envisioned, delays in construction, a piece of shit sales rep. As of a month ago, the contract for that home has been terminated.
It’s been a month and i’m still waiting on word if I get any $$$ back as reimbursement. A blessing in disguise that everything went wrong and it all has to do with the pic above. Lake Living, stay tuned. The closing date has been set for august and will keep the masses updated on the progress.
I hit the GoPro Motorplex saturday afternoon and it was Awesome!!! Cannot wait to go back, but there is an issue. I want one of those badboys above, bad…with the new home…I don’t know. Decisions, decisions!!!
